Matthias Henny (1971) is Group CIO, Member of the Corporate Executive Committee, and Head of the Corporate Division Asset Management.
Having completed his undergraduate and postgraduate studies in physics at the University of Basel, Dr. Henny joined McKinsey & Co. where he worked as a risk management consultant for clients from the insurance and banking sector. In 2003, he moved to AXA Winterthur where he was Head of Financial Engineering in Asset Management until 2007. Subsequently, he was a member of the management team at AXA Winterthur, first as CIO (until 2010), then as CFO. In 2012, Dr. Henny joined the Baloise Group. As CEO of Baloise Asset Management Switzerland AG, he was responsible for the administration of approximately CHF 50 billion in assets. He has been a member of the Corporate Executive Committee since 2017. He manages the Corporate Division Asset Management with its units Investment Strategy and Investment Controlling, Sales and Marketing, Portfolio Management, Operations, Real Estate, Corporate Development and Compliance.
Fabian Kaderli (1977) is Head of Corporate Development & Compliance in the Corporate Division Asset Management.
After his studies at the University of Basel, Fabian Kaderli began his professional career in banking in 2000. In 2004, he moved to Baloise Asset Management Switzerland AG and has since managed numerous strategic projects and acquired a Diploma of Advanced Studies (DAS) in bank management. In 2008, he became Head of Asset Services at Baloise Asset Management Switzerland AG. His areas of responsibility in this context included leadership of Securities Administration, Fund Accounting and Custodian Relationship Management. Since 2017, he has been Head of Corporate Development & Compliance with responsibility for the areas Products, Finance, Controlling & Compliance, Business Development and Legal.
Stephan Kamps (1971) is Head of Portfolio Management in the Corporate Division Asset Management.
After gaining a Diploma in Economics from the University of Cologne, he joined the Winterthur Group as an equities portfolio manager in asset management. In 2007, together with three partners, Stephan Kamps founded the asset management company Arecon, at which he was latterly responsible for portfolio management with a focus on multi-asset-class and fixed-income portfolios. After selling a majority interest in this company to a private equity investor, he founded Rheinberg Associates AG in 2012 together with a partner – a start-up specialising in structured asset allocation solutions for insurance companies and other institutional clients. Since 2017, he has been the Head of Portfolio Management and CEO of Baloise Asset Management Switzerland AG.
Dieter Kräuchi (1967) is Head of Real Estate in the Asset Management Corporate Division.
Dieter Kräuchi began his career as a draughtsman in structural engineering. Since acquiring a Swiss Federal Diploma in Site Management in 1994, Mr. Krä;uchi has occupied numerous areas of responsibility at various firms in the field of real estate. Amongst other positions, Dieter Kräuchi headed up the Real Estate Consulting Team at KPMG in Zurich between 1996 and 2000, and held several management functions at Allreal Generalunternehmung AG between 2003 and 2010. In 2006, he acquired a Masters Degree in Real Estate at CUREM. From 2010 to 2017, he was CEO of avobis Asset Management AG. Since 2017, he has been the Head of Real Estate and CEO of Baloise Immobilien Management AG.
Alfonso Papa, born in 1970, is Head of Sales & Marketing in Corporate Division Asset Management.
He began his career at Zürcher Kantonalbank as an investment adviser while also completing his bachelor’s degree in Business Economics. After finishing his studies, he joined Volksbank and later moved to Credit Suisse. Following this, Alfonso worked in product management and sales for DWS Switzerland, Dresdner Bank and then Allianz Global Investors before joining the ING Group in 2008. Most recently, he held the role of CEO Switzerland for ten years – initially at ING Investment Management and, after 2015, at its successor company NN Investment Partners. Alfonso is a Certified European Financial Analyst (CEFA) and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA). He has been Head of Sales & Marketing in Corporate Division Asset Management since May 2019.
Claude Meyer (1971) is Head of Finance in the Asset Management Division.
After a commercial apprenticeship at a bank, Claude Meyer then worked for Ernst & Young AG for five years as an auditor for 'Banking & Asset Management'. In 2004, he joined the Baloise Group in the finance department. There he held various positions in the Accounting and Controlling department and was most recently Head of Group Controlling. While working, he also successfully completed further training to become a fiduciary with a federal certificate and a federal expert in accounting and controlling.
In 2018 he joined Baloise Immobilien Management AG as CFO of the newly founded fund management company. In the course of the merger of Baloise Immobilien Management AG with Baloise Asset Management AG, he will assume responsibility as Head of Finance of the merged company from 1 September 2020.
Marc Dünki (1980) is Head of Asset Strategy & Investment Controlling in the Corporate Division Asset Management.
After pocketing a Masters Degree in Business and Economics from the University of Basel, focusing on banking, finance and controlling, Marc Dünki began his career in 2007 in Group Risk Management at Baloise, where he was involved in the implementation of various solvency models. In 2009, he transferred to the Corporate Division Asset Management. Between 2012 and 2017, he headed the Asset Allocation & Overlay Management department. His principal duties during this time included risk-based investment planning, drawing up interest and equity hedging strategies, and research. He has been the Head of Asset Strategy & Investment Controlling since 2017.
